Global Positioning Systems are being deployed in vehicles throughout the world for different applications, including fleet management and vehicle security.
Our ARCs provide bureau services for dispatching on stolen vehicles, for several suppliers of GPS tracking systems.
In the case of a vehicle being moved with its immobiliser engaged, or if the alarm is activated, an operator in the ARC will track the vehicle.
The theft is reported to the owner who confirms the theft and obtains a crime incident number; this number is used to coordinate the police in pursuit of the vehicle.
Alarms can be transmitted from a vehicle if it strays off route, or if doors are opened whilst the engines are running, or if panic buttons are activated.
Corporate companies can have GPS devices fitted to their vehicles and control their own fleet, sending data messages and receiving bar code readings from stock deployed. In the background we provide the theft and vehicle recovery service, which is a byproduct of the fleet management system.
