CCTV Monitoring from our Audio Visual RVRC
There are ARCs and there are RVRCs (Remote Video Response Centres), but rarely do you find both under one roof!
Our RVRC has its own floor, separate from our alarm handling activities, but we use the same sophisticated and comprehensive alarm handling and services software, MASterMind.
Remote video (CCTV) monitoring is handled by MASterMind's Video Viewer application, a sophisticated interface that provides a universal front-end for different video transmission protocols. The network-based software also includes hard disk recording of all activity, both video and operator actions.
MASterMind's Video Viewer application incorporates all the monitoring requirements of BS8418 and we only monitor systems that have been installed to this standard. Adopting such a stance is in keeping with our continued drive to reduce false alarms from monitored systems, thereby raising the creditability of remote video signalling systems in the eyes of the customer.
The Video Viewer application downloads alarm activity via MASweb to the installer over a secure internet connection.
With the ever increasing labour costs associated with manned guarding, it is logical to supplement manned guards with electronic monitoring in the form of remote video and alarm detection. After all, a static guard cannot be in all places at once, but alarms and cameras can.
