Alarm handling and dispatching

We can monitor whatever you want - burglar alarms, fire alarms, medical alerts, electrical malfunctions, lifts to name but few.  We can tailor our services to meet your individual needs.

Our ARCs are manned twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year.  We handle over 85,000 connections throughout the UK and are linked to every Police Force and Fire Service in the UK so our operations will alert the appropriate emergency service or personnel if a confirmed activation occurs.

Our highly trained and dedicated team of operators are supported by the world’s most sophisticated and comprehensive alarm handling and services software, MASterMind.  We have three servers, each separately located but connected to and running in parallel with each other to guarantee 100% resilience, even in the event of a server failure.

The software integrates with all the well known signalling technologies – for example, RedCare Digital Services Platform, SIA, Contact ID, Extended formats, GSM, ISDN and Packet Switched Data Networks.

The software also offers a multitude of additional benefits including false alarm reporting in accordance with Regulatory requirements, remote engineering functions for servicing alarm systems (VTR), remote access to clients’ database (MASweb) and commissioning and servicing via a team of expert operators.  The out of hours service co-ordination facility includes logging the job and presenting the operator with a duty rosta of engineers based on time and date.  Requests are then despatched to the field engineer, keeping him informed at all times of pending calls.

The whole process is supported by our Technical Support Department whose expertise is never more than a phone call away.

Like all businesses, there is a rhythm to the day in an ARC.  Rather unexpectedly, the early hours of the morning are among the quietest.  But there is a rapid increase in activity in the morning as premises are opened and alarm systems are switched off, and there are many false alarms due to user error.  Our MASterMind software automatically filters out these false alarms, saving the emergency services valuable time and money.

Around midday is the peak period for crimes such as break-ins and armed robberies.  Our operators are there to respond to panic buttons in banks, building societies and jewellers, to medical alert systems in homes and industrial systems on deep-freezers and boilers, etc.

The evening rush hour brings another surge of activity as alarms are switched on and premises secured. Once again, our complex alarm handling software enables us to weed out false alarms and action non-reporting events such as a failure to close by a given time.

As we move into late evening our message handling service comes into its own.  People may come home to find that the washing machine has flooded or a pipe has burst.  We co-ordinate emergency call out engineers for many companies, answering calls in the company’s name, enabling them to respond to requests for help whilst saving them the cost of employing their own out of hours administrative staff.

Whatever your monitoring requirements, we are confident that we have the answer.
