Lone Worker and Telecare Monitoring

Lone Worker Emergency Alert Transmitter

Lone Workers, or those who require a virtual carer service, are people who spend some or all of their working hours on their own – for example:

It is an employer’s legal duty under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSW Act) and the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations (MHSW) 1999 to undertake a risk assessment to identify hazards faced by lone workers, and to take appropriate action t safeguard them. Legislation introduced in April 2008 means that an organisation can be prosecuted where a safety failure is the cause of a work-related death.

If a person is self employed, it is their own responsibility to ensure their safety.

As well as monitoring traditional lone worker alarms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, SMS and NMS also offer ArchAngel, a new suite of Virtual Carer solutions which range from looking after those who need just that little extra support to give peace of mind right through to those in high risk environments.

Because ArchAngel uses existing mobile phone technology, there is none of the capital outlay required for a conventional bespoke device. Not only is it cost effective, it is also very versatile and simple to use which is why it is our product of choice.

There is an ArchAngel for every application, from basic provision through enhanced protection to high risk, as well as one that doubles up as a management tool by providing information such as mileage reports, employee whereabouts, current location, etc. And for those who need a bespoke device, ArchAngel Companion is the answer.
