The equipment required for this upgrade is a DualCom DigiPlus®; a small hardware module that works in conjunction with your existing Digital Communicator. By re-routing the call via CSL DualCom's Gemini Managed Network using free calls, DigiPlus® removes both round trip delays and all end user call charges.
DigiPlus® is available from Southern Monitoring to purchase for an annual fee which includes the DigiPlus® hardware (this annual charge is in addition to your existing digi monitoring charge). You may choose to charge out at £40 per year (in addition to your existing Digi Charge) giving you an additional profit. At the same time end users save at least £20 every year in call charges and in some cases, significantly more.
Just 100 digital communicators would provide you with an additional profit of £1500 per year and offer immunity from current and future NGN upgrade issues.
An Alarm system signalling regular set/unset signals could easily generate anything from £60 per annum to over £350/annum in alarm calls. Based on 10–60p per set up charge, per open and close i.e. 2 calls/day 6 days/week 52 weeks a year.
