Connections

May 2008

Hello Again,

As a result of our recent “What’s in a signal?” seminar (the video streams of which are in the Video Archive on this site click here), we have seen an enormous interest in digital communicator upgrade campaigns.

The four network suppliers are positioning themselves with new tariffs and even cash back deals to further stimulate the marketplace and support the activity that is currently underway.

I am pleased to see our customers proactively addressing the potential issues for digital communicators associated with BT21CN and also 0870 non geographic routing of PSTN signalling systems. In addition to network supplier promotions and cash backs, we are also putting incentives in place for a digital communicator upgrade campaign.

Integration of CCTV and alarm signalling has also provided for major increases in connections as end users, with extensive wide area networks or even local broadband connectivity, look to reduce their costs by ceasing PSTN and ISDN lines and replacing their signalling with a web based solution. Some of our customers have grasped this technology and proactively presented cost saving solutions to major organisations and as a result, won their service and maintenance contracts as well as new works.

Fire installers are also now starting to connect remotely signalled fire systems as they have realised there is merit in having recurring revenue in the form of maintenance and monitoring fees. The draft Chief Fire Officers Association’s policy for the installation, maintenance and monitoring of fire systems which supports UKAS 3rd party certification has stimulated the interest in Standards and remote signalling.

At the “What’s in a signal?” seminar we were praised by many of the network suppliers for the level of integrity we have built into our network infrastructure which supports the virtual alarm and telephony platforms between SMS & NMS as well as the remotely signalled systems, in fact one went as far as to say you could not get better.

We pride ourselves in not only the service we provide but also the way we provide those services, through investment in proper robust networking solutions that provide contingency across both our centres on a continuous basis. When taking this into account along with our very competitive prices, we believe we provide the best service at the best prices. Why not give us a call and see what you get for your money?

Bye for now,

Steve
