Connections
January 2008
Hello Again,
Happy New Year and welcome to the first 2008 edition of Connections.
Toward the end of last year we were in the final throws of relocating Northern Monitoring Services to its brand new facilities in Altrincham. I am pleased to say that our continued expansion in the North is going well and that we will be hosting open days at our new ARC.
No expense has been spared at the new centre and it really is state of the art, complementing the flagship centre in Waterlooville both in design and decor. Whilst relocating NMS we have used this opportunity to completely review our operational and network infrastructure and have further invested in the latest VOIP networks and a new Mitel telephone system and further enhancing the connectivity between our two centres.
In addition to our reinvestment and expansion of both Southern & Northern Monitoring Services we are also pleased to introduce new products and services in the form of Tracking and Lone Worker alarms by Matrix Telematic and also the new Grade 2 GPRS DualCom which is fully upgradeable remotely to the Grade 3 GPRS DualCom and the (shortly to be launched) Grade 4 product as well.
In light of the BT21CN network rollout and the changes in non geographic numbering ranges we have extensive upgrade campaigns running at the moment whereby we pay you a commission for upgrading your customers signalling system to Dual path signalling, for more information please contact Paul Cooper in sales.
Fire monitoring along with remote CCTV monitoring is reflecting the developments in the installation environment and changing legislation, again there are major upgrade campaigns for putting fire systems on maintenance and monitoring, details of which are available from Rod Wilson in sales.
We are now undertaking the licensing of operators in NMS so that they can undertake the monitoring of CCTV systems thereby providing 100% real time redundancy for the RVRC activity between SMS & NMS. We are also training operators in NMS to provide out of hours service co ordination as well as SMS operators, thereby providing multi skilled operators at both locations in the UK.
Such levels of investment continue to reinforce our commitment to the provision of our monitoring services by connecting Quality with Technology.
Bye for now,
Steve
