April 2009

Hello Again,

If you’re finding times are a bit hard and the order books are not as full as they normally are, then perhaps it is a good time to re-evaluate the costs in your business whilst at the same time looking to see how you can increase your margins on your existing estate of maintenance and monitoring contracts.

With price increases being implemented in the marketplace by some of our competitors an obvious course of action is to give us a call for a competitive quote against your current (or even new) charges. There is no obligation, but at least you will get to see what else is in the marketplace and what services we can offer to grow your business compared to your current provider.

If you are an established installer then probably since you started using an ARC the signalling technology has moved on in leaps and bounds as has the standards for the installation of new systems. Now is a good time to review your current signalling estate and look to upgrade your customers to dual path signalling at little or no cost enabling you to make a larger margin on the maintenance and monitoring contract.

Whilst upgrading the contract to better signalling, there may also be an opportunity to add a few detectors and upgrade the system to confirmation as well. Existing customers are often overlooked as a source of new business; they are usually easier to sell to as they are a captive audience and already have a trading relationship with you.

If you are looking at moving ARC it makes absolute sense to upgrade all those communicators to DigiPlus, as you have to go to site to re chip anyway. However, by upgrading to DigiPlus it will be the last time you would ever need to go to site to re chip, as the product resolves all the issues of old legacy systems and the old chips which are very hard if not impossible to get.

Having upgraded it will make your customers signalling BT21CN compliant; give them additional security as their system will be polled by the network. Additionally all calls are free of charge and as the installer you would be able to move them from one ARC to another without having to visit site, should you wish to do so.

DigiPlus is provided free of charge via your ARC by CSL DualCom, so it’s a no brainer really, enabling you to get in front of your own customer and to get their system upgraded to confirmation at the same time.

Give us a call for more details

Bye for now,

Steve
